Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of creditable experience indicating knowledge of medical terminology and health records
• Bachelor’s degree with 24 semester hours in health information management or related field may substitute experience
• Six months of creditable experience plus appropriate education substitutions allowed

Responsibilities

• Review, process and index requests for patient protected health information
• Disclose health information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
• Coordinate with Veterans/third parties to fulfill requests
