Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks seeks a Prosthetic Representative (Assistant Chief) to share full responsibility with the Chief for directing, supervising, and managing all phases of prosthetic service operations.

The role includes serving as Chief in the Chief's absence, with active specialty services such as spinal cord injury, home-based care, low vision, and prosthetic implants.

Qualifications

• Must be a United States citizen.
• English language proficiency required for written and spoken communication.
• One year of creditable experience OR a qualifying education combination OR foreign education considered.
• Education/workexperience combinations are eligible.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and manage all phases of prosthetic service operations.
• Serve as Chief of the service in the Chief's absence.
• Monitor contracts, budgets, and purchasing related to prosthetics and rehabilitative items.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and upper management.
