Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation seeks a Resident Prosthetist to integrate patient assessment, treatment planning, and prosthetic fabrication under a clinical mentor. You will implement plans, provide prosthetic devices, and ensure follow-up outcomes while complying with regulations and ABC standards.

You will participate in continuing education, assist in inventory, and maintain records. This structured program gradually increases responsibilities under supervision.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Orthotics and Prosthetics from a CAAHEP accredited program.
• Ability to interact with patients and physicians.
• Ability to use tools and fabricate independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the scope of their license and as required by laws and regulations.
• Assess patients with movement impairments to determine functional interventions.
• Formulate a treatment plan with referring physicians based on comprehensive assessment.
• Implement the prosthetic treatment plan.
• Produce prosthetic devices as prescribed by the physician.
• Follow-up treatment plan to ensure successful prosthetic outcomes.
• Adhere to practice management policies to ensure patient protection and compliance.
• Adhere to ABC Code of Professional Responsibility.
• Maintain charting, records, and complete duties timely.
• Attend assigned clinics and hospital calls.
• Maintain treatment and production standards; meet scheduling and patient satisfaction targets.
• Repair or delegate maintenance of prostheses; assist in inventories and ordering.
• Participate in continuing education and complete certification requirements.
