Job summary

Pacific Medical, Inc. in Salinas, CA seeks a full-time Certified Prosthetist Orthotist to evaluate, fabricate, and custom-fit artificial limbs and orthopedic braces.

The role involves designing and fitting devices such as orthoses, working with physicians, and supervising a dynamic team at the Patient Care Facility. The candidate must be licensed/certified (ABC or BOC), complete CME requirements, and adhere to HIPAA and facility guidelines.

Qualifications

• Licensed/certified in ABC or BOC with good standing.
• Maintain CME credits annually.
• Practice within scope of work unless supervised by another specialty.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine appliance needs and fit.
• Fit, test, and adjust devices for comfort and function.
• Instruct patients on use and care of orthoses and prostheses.
• Design devices based on physician prescriptions and measurements.
• Maintain patient records per ABC and CMS standards.
• Train and supervise assistants and technicians.
