Established in 1987, Pacific Medical, Inc. is a distributor of durable medical equipment, specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation, arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, prosthetics, and orthotics. We are dedicated to advancing patient care through excellent service and product technology.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Certified Prosthetist Orthotist at our Bend, OR Patient Care Facility. The role involves evaluating, fabricating, and fitting artificial limbs and orthopedic braces, designing and fitting orthoses and prostheses, and supervising a dynamic team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Examine, interview, and measure patients to determine appliance needs and identify fit factors.
• Fit, test, and evaluate devices, making adjustments for proper fit and comfort.
• Instruct patients on the use and care of orthoses and prostheses.
• Design devices based on physicians' prescriptions and patient measurements.
• Maintain patient records per ABC and CMS standards.
• Make and modify plaster casts for device construction.
• Select materials and components based on device design.
• Consult with physicians to formulate device specifications and prescriptions.
• Repair, rebuild, and modify appliances.
• Construct and supervise the fabrication of appliances.
• Train and supervise assistants and technicians, including COF.
• Attend conferences and seminars to update skills.
• Show and explain appliances to healthcare workers.
• Maintain inventory of materials.

Requirements:

• Licensed/certified by ABC or BOC and in good standing.
• Maintain CME credits annually as per guidelines.
• Practice within your scope unless privileged otherwise.
• Adhere to company policies and training requirements.
• Possibly have additional state licensing.
• Comply with ABC accreditation standards.
• Participate in performance reviews and meetings.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000
