Job summary

Angelo State University seeks a Student Assistant: Outreach Specialist to engage and inform prospective students through calls and shared experiences as a student. Responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of admissions processes and assisting with various outreach activities.

This role provides thorough training, a desk in the Call Center, and a supportive team environment. Ideal candidates are registered students with an enthusiasm for ASU and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
• Available Monday to Thursday 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Sitting for long periods and lifting up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to prospective students to inform them.
• Log detailed call notes in the CRM system.
• Be knowledgeable about ASU’s admissions processes.

Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Enthusiastic about ASU and storytelling

General computer knowledge

Education

Must be a registered student attending classes
