Job summary

You will identify qualified donors, analyze biographical and financial data, forecast wealth estimates, and advise fundraising teams on portfolio strategy.

The role requires collaboration with leadership and front-line fundraisers, independent research, and a master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (particularly a master’s degree) in a related field.
• Knowledge of current trends in philanthropy and fundraising principles.
• Experience (typically 2–4 years) in prospect/development research or related environment.
• Experience (typically 2–4 years) with web-based research databases and techniques.
• Experience (typically 2–4 years) using relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes advanced research and analytical methodologies to identify, qualify, and rank a pool of prospective donors.
• Collects, synthesizes, analyzes, and interprets data to produce briefings and reports with wealth estimates.
• Advises fundraising officers on portfolio management and stewardship.
• Reviews prospects with senior leadership and frontline fundraisers.
• Develops strategies related to fundraising readiness.
• Collaborates with campus partners on portfolio development and research methods.
