Job summary

ELKO County District Attorney's Office is seeking a Deputy District Attorney to provide complex legal services and prosecute cases in multiple courts. The incumbent must be bondable and will handle a range of duties from reviewing reports to presenting appellate briefs.

The role requires a Juris Doctorate, a valid Nevada driver’s license, and the ability to travel to outlying courts. Normal hours are Monday through Friday, with duties that may include travel and court appearances.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required.

Responsibilities

• Review law enforcement reports, draft charging and related documents.
• Advise law enforcement on legal questions and observe interviews as needed.
• Prepare adult and juvenile cases for court hearings.
• Prosecute cases in family, justice, and district courts.
• Attend specialty courts and present appellate briefs and arguments.
