Job summary

Colorado’s 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Colorado Springs seeks a highly qualified attorney to prosecute criminal cases and uphold justice. This exempt, full-time role requires a Juris Doctorate, active license to practice law, willingness to become licensed in Colorado, and a valid driver’s license.

You will handle trials, cross-examinations, motions, and coordinate with investigators and paralegals.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required and currently licensed to practice law.
• Willingness to become licensed to practice law in Colorado.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and prosecutes criminal cases; examines and cross-examines witnesses; presents oral arguments.
• Prosecutes cases in assigned division with trials, pre-trial conferences, and sentencing.
• Researches, analyzes and interprets existing laws and court decisions.
• Confers with defense attorneys, probation authorities, court officials and law enforcement.
• May advise and train law enforcement personnel and client agencies in criminal law.
