Job summary

Benton County, Arkansas invites applicants for a Legal Assistant 1 to support prosecutors by preparing case files, gathering data from multiple agencies, and maintaining systems used by collaborating agencies. The role requires handling confidential information and ensuring timely discovery and filing activities.

The successful candidate will be able to run NCIC/ACIC histories upon certification, assist with trial preparation, manage calendars, and coordinate communications with defense

Qualifications

• Must possess high level of discretion and professionalism.
• Strong computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Two years of administrative experience.
• Experience or familiarity with legal environment is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle confidential information with care.
• Prepare and manage case files for prosecutors.
• Create trial binders and organize witness lists.
• Manage court dates and calendars, including deadlines.
• Assist with service of subpoenas and obtaining transcripts.
• Communicate with defense, law enforcement, and other agencies about case files.
