The Association for Mental Health and Wellness in New York seeks a PROS Director to lead its Personalized Recovery Oriented Services program within the management team, advancing recovery-focused practices. Responsibilities

  • Program enrollment in each PROS component
  • Program utilization in terms of billable service participation and units
  • Assure policies and practices are upheld consistently
  • Ensure compliance with Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure compliance with NYS PROS operating license regulations
  • Generate regular reports to Deputy/Executive Directors on progress and compliance
  • Represent agency and programs in external interactions
  • Develop skills and understanding related to PROS Director role
  • Review and manage Service Dollar Requests
  • Hold weekly staff meetings
  • Approve and sign off on timecards
  • Approve Supply Orders
  • Review and approve Petty Cash requests
  • Attend meetings: Corporate Compliance, Utilization/Revenue
  • Coordinate with other Program Directors within the agency
  • To ensure rehabilitation plans for clients and adherence to regulatory standards
  • Make judgments in client crises regarding clinical/rehabilitative practice
  • Attract and engage new clients to promote recovery in Suffolk County
  • Establish relationships with other providers serving MHAW members
  • Review and sign off on Documentation including Treatment Plans and assessments
  • Hold monthly Client High Risk Meetings
  • Hold monthly meetings with clients
  • Attend Referral/Admissions meetings
  • Attend Clinical Review and Incident Review meetings

Job description

Salary: $85,000 per year; Exempt position

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Availability: Immediately

  • Program enrollment in each PROS component
  • Program utilization in terms of billable service participation and units
  • Give assurance that the policies, procedures, values, and practices articulated by the Board of Directors through its Commitment to the Corporate Compliance Plan are being upheld on a consistent basis.
  • To ensure compliance with MHAW’s Employee Handbook and accepted and written Policies and Procedures.
  • To ensure compliance with regulations set forth by New York State that govern, review, and grant a PROS operating license to the Association for Mental Health and Wellness, Inc.
  • To generate and provide regular reports to the Deputy and Executive Directors substantiating appropriate and effective progress and compliance. These reports include, but are not limited to, reports of program enrollment, utilization, critical incidents, quality service assurance, and other management information.
  • To positively represent the agency and its programs in all interactions with people outside of MHAW.
  • To continually develop skill, proficiency, and philosophical and practical understanding in all areas pertinent to the PROS Director’s role in MHAW’s practice and the organization’s planning and development.
  • Review and manage Service Dollar Requests.

Clinical/Rehabilitative
  • To ensure, in supervisory and direct practice roles, that each member/participant engaged in MHAW’s services benefits from a mutually developed rehabilitation plan. This plan shall be consistent with standards set forth by regulatory bodies and accepted program practice.
  • To make judgments, including those in the context of a client crisis, pertaining to appropriate clinical/rehabilitative practice concerning the safe, expeditious, and client-driven disposition of individual client services.
  • To attract and effectively engage new clients/members/participants into program services so that the programs and the agency can continue to promote their effectiveness and enhance the mission by reaching more people in recovery from mental illness who live in Suffolk County.
  • Toward the successful fulfillment of these goals, the PROS Director shall also work to establish and maintain effective, coordinated working relationships with other providers who serve, or may serve, MHAW’s members/program participants.
  • Review and sign off on documentation, including but not limited to Treatment Plans, progress notes, and assessments.
  • Hold monthly Client High Risk Meetings.
  • Hold monthly meetings with clients.
  • Attend and participate in Referral/Admissions meetings.
  • Attend and participate in the following meetings: Clinical Review, Incident Review.
