Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. in Mojave, CA is seeking a Component Test Engineer to develop and evolve propulsion testing capabilities. You will lead test planning, fixture design, and data-driven verification with cross-functional teams, reporting to the Test Operations Lead within the Test Engineering group.

This onsite role emphasizes hands-on testing of propulsion components and systems. The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years in component or hardware testing, a B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience with component, integrated vehicle, or hardware development testing.
• Working knowledge of fluid components such as valves, regulators, actuators, and fittings.
• Experience with sensors, instrumentation (pressure transducers, accelerometers, etc), and data acquisition/controls.
• Able to identify and procure appropriate test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support integrated, qualification and acceptance testing of vehicle components/assemblies, including propulsion systems, avionics hardware, pressurant systems, and structural components.
• Develop test plans and test procedures, design/analyze test fixturing for on- and off-vehicle testing, write test reports, and conduct test readiness and data reviews.
• Support the development and maintenance of verification matrices with Systems Engineering.
• Ensure systems are flight-worthy prior to test and flight operations.
• Collaborate with Structures, Mechanisms, Integration and Test leads to optimize on-vehicle testing and timeline.
