Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Propulsion Technician (Starship) on the 2nd shift to assemble and test propulsion components for Starship and Super Heavy. You will laser-weld components, perform mechanical assembly, and pressure testing in a fast-paced environment, interfacing with engineers on the floor.

You will ensure build quality, assist in troubleshooting, and help update work instructions to improve safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years fabrication/manufacturing/assembly/testing experience.
• Experience with laser welding and testing operations.
• Ability to read and follow procedures and test instructions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality components for Starship and Super Heavy using laser welding and assembly.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and report safety issues.
• Operate per procedures, specifications, and test instructions, and report progress daily.
• Troubleshoot failure modes with engineering to improve reliability and manufacturability.
• Grow skills across products and train peers in a fast-growing environment.
