Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with hardware design (motors, turbo, fans, etc.).
• Understanding of electric rotating machines.
• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA), bolted joint, stress analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required (<10%).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products and improvements to existing products using sound engineering principles.
• Prepare documentation required by the product development process (design requirements, validation plans, 3D models/drawings, test reports).
• Provide support and recommendations to management and lead business case discussions for multi-generation product planning.
• Assure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work and quality reviews.
• Lead communication on technical and business issues between organizations and within work groups.
• Promote professional growth through feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
• Ensure company compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented.
