Job summary
BETA Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to contribute to propulsion system development and integration for electric aviation.
The role involves defining requirements, supporting hardware and software verification, and coordinating with software, electrical, mechanical, and certification engineers. The candidate should have an undergraduate engineering degree and 3+ years in aerospace system development, with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development experience.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in mechanical, electrical, software, aerospace or systems engineering.
- 3+ years of experience performing SAE ARP4754A, ARP4761 or equivalent processes.
- Experience with Title 14 CFR parts 23, 25, 27, 29, or 33.
- Experience with development of requirements-based testing for complex electronic systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency working within a structured development process.
Responsibilities
- Perform propulsion system and component requirements development and validation.
- Conduct system integration activities including interface definition and hardware/software test support.
- Plan, coordinate and execute verification activities with various engineering disciplines.
