Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking a Design and Release Engineer for automotive components focused on structures, seals and fasteners. You will own design releases, drive change management, and coordinate DFMEA/DVPR processes across cross-functional teams to ensure robust product design.

The role involves coordinating supplier sourcing and industrialization with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, plus travel to supplier sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited school or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in propulsion systems, automatic transmissions or related field.
• Understanding of system engineering within automatic transmissions and electric drive units.

Responsibilities

• Design and release responsible for key components for structures, seals and fastener components.
• Lead the change-management process for their respective components.
• Develop timelines and drive programs to meet deliverables.
• Travel to suppliers for process and quality reviews ~5% of time.
