Job summary

Mercor is assembling a panel of energetic materials and propulsion experts to red-team frontier AI models. The role focuses on writing prompts that sit on the line between routine and sensitive, and on judging model responses with a clear written rationale.

You will curate prompts across benign, dual-use, and adversarial categories; evaluate outputs against a policy standard; and draft reference answers with technical reasoning for safe deployment.

Qualifications

• Background in propulsion or initiation systems with hardware/test data.
• Strong written communication skills with ability to justify judgments.
• Experience writing prompts and evaluating model outputs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write challenging prompts across benign, dual-use, and adversarial categories.
• Evaluate model responses against a defined policy standard.
• Draft reference answers and technical reasoning for correct responses.
