Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a STEM discipline.
• 1+ year experience with physics-based simulations of real dynamic systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the accuracy of the lumped-parameter thermofluid physics model of the Raptor engine.
• Conduce engine cycle analysis to steer future-state engine design and thrust upgrades.
• Conduct anomaly resolution utilizing the engine model and sparse instrumentation.
• Develop an understanding of the physics underlying engine performance and related techniques.
• Maintain the representation of the Raptor engine in simulations, validation and Monte Carlo analysis.
• Develop tools to understand engine performance variability and enable improvements in design.
• Automate processes and software tools to predict test performance and flight predictions for GNC and flight software.
• Collaborate across teams to standardize tools and practices for maximum functionality.
