Astro Mechanica in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Propulsion Manufacturing Manager to establish and scale production for our ground power systems. This hands-on leadership role drives the build-out of production capability from the ground up, turning development hardware into repeatable, reliable, production-ready products.

You will own manufacturing processes, workflows, and a team of engineers and technicians, collaborating with engineering, supply chain, and facilities to deliver safe,

Qualificações

• 10+ years in establishing or scaling production lines for complex hardware
• Translate development builds into repeatable manufacturing processes
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges
• Build and lead manufacturing engineering teams
• Interpret drawings, GD&T, inspection requirements and nonconformance docs
• Implement material tracking, inventory controls, and traceability
• Strong problem-solving with root-cause analysis
• Manage competing priorities with safety, quality and schedule

Responsabilidades

• Establish the manufacturing floor plan, stations, flow, tooling, and inventory control
• Create SOPs and work instructions for consistent, high-quality builds
• Coordinate schedules, labor, materials, and equipment to meet targets
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve non-conformances and corrective actions
• Hire, train, and develop manufacturing engineers and technicians
• Coordinate with supply chain for work orders and traceability
• Improve yield, unit cost, rework, and throughput
