Job summary

Boeing in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Mid-Level Propulsion Fuels Systems Engineer to join the Propulsion 787 Program Engineering team. You will lead propulsion/fuels changes, oversee supplier components, and support on-site factory delivery for 787 aircraft at Charleston facilities.

The role requires strong systems engineering skills, collaboration with multiple internal partners, and the ability to manage complex test plans and safety analyses for airworthiness considerations.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related field (Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Physics) or non-US equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of propulsion/fuels changes with other airplane systems and develop design solutions to support product improvements.
• Maintain Boeing design oversight for supplier‑provided fuel system components and review/approve supplier drawings, engineering change proposals, and configuration updates.
• Engage suppliers to define, plan, and execute qualification testing and to manage supplier‑initiated design modifications.
• Manage Boeing Specification Control Document (SCD) requirements, including revisions and new SCD development as needed.
• Provide on‑site factory and delivery support in North Charleston, troubleshooting fuel system issues on the production line, supporting production holds, pre‑delivery inspections, and delivery acceptance activities.
