Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems in Palo Alto, CA seeks a Propulsion Engineer to develop propulsion systems for LEO and GEO missions. The role involves applying systems engineering to propulsion hardware, conducting analyses on propellant loading, plume behavior, thruster alignment, and on-orbit performance.

The successful candidate will work with power, thermal, and bus electronics teams to ensure architecture meets requirements and will help define test requirements and support qualification activities.

Qualifications

• Experience or coursework in electric and chemical propulsion systems.
• Experience with propulsion hardware performance specification and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design bipropellant, monopropellant, cold gas, and electric satellite propulsion systems.
• Perform subsystem analyses including propellant loading optimization and plume analyses.
• Define and capture propulsion subsystem test requirements and support qualification and testing.
