This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, focusing on the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Our engines power the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.

In this role, you will support the production and manufacturing of rocket engine components for the BE-7 Lunar Lander Engine. Responsibilities include troubleshooting manufacturing challenges, resolving non-conforming hardware, developing design improvements, and updating assembly procedures for flight engines. You will work with CAD models/drawings and support transitioning to flight production.

You should be able to manage multiple technical issues, value continuous learning, and foster collaboration. Responsibilities may include components such as pressurized fluid systems, rotating hardware, machining of 3D printed parts, brazed and welded assemblies, and precision assembly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in component design, fabrication, build, and assembly
• Experience resolving issues with non-conforming hardware and supporting aerospace manufacturing
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and configuration management (Creo, Windchill preferred)
• Experience in designing turbomachinery, valves, or combustion devices
• Mastery of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
• Strong communication skills across all organization levels
• B.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Ability to build trust, maintain professional relationships, and promote inclusion
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (citizen, Green Card, refugee, or asylum status)

Desired

• Experience in rocket engines, jet propulsion, aircraft, spacecraft, oil & gas, automotive, naval, nuclear, or heavy equipment
• Knowledge of aerospace materials and manufacturing methods
• Experience with continuous improvement processes (DMAIC, PDSA)
• Experience with cryogenic fluids and oxygen compatibility
• Experience with production quality management and transitioning products from development to production
