Propulsion Engineer

We are looking for a Propulsion Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and testing of advanced propulsion systems for aerospace applications. In this role, you will work on the end-to-end development of propulsion components, including thrusters, propellant management systems, and thermal control systems. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping propulsion architecture and enabling efficient transportation solutions for challenging aerospace missions.

Responsibilities

• Utilize computational tools and first-principles calculations to design propulsion components and systems.
• Prototype, troubleshoot, and test propulsion hardware to validate performance and reliability.
• Qualify propulsion hardware to meet mission environmental requirements.
• Draft and execute build and test procedures, ensuring successful test campaigns.
• Participate in design, test readiness, and flight readiness reviews with a focus on technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience designing and testing thrusters or thermo-fluidic systems in challenging environments.
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
• Experience managing analysis feedback and incorporating it into designs.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project needs.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with full test campaigns of propulsion systems.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX).
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
• Experience with electric propulsion systems and related technologies.
• Knowledge of water electrochemistry or similar propulsion innovations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
