Elveo is seeking a Propulsion Design Engineer in Chantilly, VA to support development of Hall Effect Thrusters and propulsion system components. You will analyze and optimize designs across mechanical, thermal, and magnetic aspects, delivering simulations and prototypes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of direct experience with electric propulsion systems.
• Hands-on hardware prototyping experience.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the design of Hall Effect Thruster components and systems.
• Perform magnetic simulations with FEMM or similar tools.
• Perform thermal simulations with Solidworks or Thermal Desktop.
• Perform CFD simulations with Autodesk CFD or similar tools.
