Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a technically skilled engineer to lead or support Advanced Technical Work (ATW) projects in propulsion system controls. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliverables, and support software code development for control methods and calibration tasks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in propulsion system controls, software, or calibration.
• Knowledge of internal combustion engine control: startability, open/closed loop fuel control, emissions and aftertreatment.
• Ability to communicate with leadership/decision makers.
• Capable of working autonomously with limited direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support ATW projects to define requirements and deliverables.
• Develop control methods and software code for calibration tasks.
• Develop calibrations to prove system capability to meet goals.
• Verify control methods/software on SIL/HIL bench, engine start cart, or development vehicles.
• Perform emission testing on engine or vehicle to demonstrate performance meeting requirements.
