Job summary

General Motors in Warren, MI seeks a CFD Engineer for electrified propulsion components. You will develop CFD simulations and collaborate on multiphase and thermal analyses to influence design decisions and reduce hardware testing.

Minimum 2+ years in propulsion CFD, and a BS in Engineering; preferred STAR-CCM+ / Simerics-MP+ experience and programming in Python/Java. Hybrid work with relocation benefits possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
• 2+ years of experience with simulation, design, testing, or release of propulsion related systems.
• 2+ years of CFD analysis of propulsion related systems.
• Familiarity with propulsion system design, operation, or testing.

Responsibilities

• Development of CFD simulations related to electrified propulsion components.
• Collaborate in small teams on complex multiphase flow and thermal simulations.
• Apply capabilities to impact design, processes and reduce hardware testing.
• Provide design recommendations from analysis results to engineers.
• Present analysis results to engineering peers and management.
• Develop automation tools using Python or Java.
