We are seeking a skilled and creative Proposal Writer with strong marketing skills to develop compelling, strategic proposals for web and mobile application projects focused on government and public sector clients. The ideal candidate will bring together excellent writing abilities, technical understanding, and marketing flair to help position our solutions competitively and win new business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs from government agencies to identify requirements, compliance needs, and key messaging opportunities.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, project managers, and subject matter experts to gather content for customized proposals.
  • Develop persuasive, clear, and compliant content for proposals, capability statements, pitch decks, and executive summaries.
  • Infuse marketing language and positioning strategies to communicate the value and benefits of proposed solutions.
  • Highlight past performance, differentiators, and success stories in a way that resonates with government evaluators.
  • Maintain and update a content library with reusable materials, case studies, bios, and graphics.
  • Work with the marketing team to ensure consistency of tone, branding, and messaging across proposals and supporting materials.
  • Stay up to date on government procurement trends, digital technology advances, and competitor positioning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience writing technical or government proposals; marketing experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to craft winning proposals, ideally for digital services (web/mobile/IT) in the public sector.
  • Strong marketing instincts, with experience creating persuasive narratives and strategic messaging.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple proposals and shifting priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe tools, and proposal management software.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with government procurement systems (e.g., SAM.gov, BidNet, state/local platforms).
  • Understanding of digital product delivery (Agile, DevSecOps, Section 508 compliance, etc.).
  • Experience creating marketing collateral such as one-pagers, case studies, and slide decks.
  • Knowledge of tools like HubSpot, Canva, and proposal automation platforms (e.g., RFPIO, Loopio) is a plus.
