Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field.
• 3+ years of proposal writing, RFP management, or technical writing.
• Exceptional written, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Advanced MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development and submission of RFPs and RFIs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Clinical, Operations, Account Management, Compliance, and Leadership.
• Craft and customize proposal content to client requirements.
• Manage timelines, assign deliverables, and ensure on-time submissions.
• Maintain and improve proposal content library and templates.
• Conduct peer and QA reviews for accuracy and consistency.
• Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for differentiation.
• Support government, public sector, and commercial opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor positioning to strengthen strategy.
• Assist with executive summaries and client-facing documentation as needed.
• Train and support team members on proposal processes.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Proposal Writer to lead the development of compelling, accurate, and persuasive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), questionnaires, and other client-facing documents. This role plays a critical part in supporting sales growth by translating complex business, clinical, and operational information into winning proposals.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer with exceptional project management skills who can collaborate across multiple departments, manage competing deadlines, and produce high-quality submissions that effectively communicate our value proposition.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development and submission of RFPs, RFIs, , and other proposal-related documents.
• Partner with Sales, Clinical, Operations, Account Management, Compliance, and Leadership teams to gather and translate information into compelling responses.
• Craft, edit, and customize proposal content to align with client requirements and organizational objectives.
• Manage proposal timelines, assign deliverables, and ensure all submissions are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain and continuously improve the proposal content library, knowledge base, and standard response templates.
• Conduct peer reviews and quality assurance reviews to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Analyze proposal requirements and identify potential risks, gaps, and opportunities for differentiation.
• Support government programs, public sector, and commercial proposal opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor positioning, and best practices to strengthen proposal strategy.
• Assist with, executive summaries, and client-facing documentation as needed.
• Train and support team members on proposal processes and best practices.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, , or a related field.
• 3+ years of proposal writing, RFP management, technical writing, or related experience.
• Exceptional written, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

Preferred

• Experience within healthcare, vision benefit , insurance, managed care, consulting, or employee benefits industries.
• Experience responding to complex public-sector or government procurements.
• Familiarity with proposal management software and content management systems.
