Job Description

The Proposal Strategist is responsible for developing the proposal plan, managing the Request For Proposal (RFP) process, including the end game and checkmate strategies for assigned business development proposals to win work for the company. This position will collaborate with business development and project management leadership to craft distinctive value propositions that enhance our clients' competitive positions.

  • Develop proposal plans, draft storyboards, create proposal and win strategies, assign proposal team roles, and develop initial proposal management plans.
  • Perform pink team reviews and revise marketing materials based on feedback.
  • Review go/no-go decisions, coordinate official proposal kickoffs, and develop graphics and visuals.
  • Conduct post-submittal activities, including interviews during the checkmate phase.
  • Develop negotiated contract outlines and deliver proposal services during the checkmate phase.
  • Support the development of metrics related to change orders, safety, budget, schedule, diversity, and community involvement.
  • Assist with closing project deliverables and submittals for industry awards (e.g., ACEC, ENR).
  • Attend professional associations, conferences, trade shows, and set up booths to build networks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and ensure compliance with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field, with 4 years of experience in marketing, business development, or sales within a professional services firm. Experience at an A/E firm is preferred.
