Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related course of study.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing bids, writing proposals, grants, or similar documents with deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of public, private, and federal bidding processes.
  • Minimum 2 years of RFP/RFQ experience in construction/civil/restoration/environmental sectors.
  • Experience with proposal management software such as Monday.com or similar tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full bid lifecycle from pre-qualification to contract award.
  • Oversee non-complex federal and commercial proposal development.
  • Prepare polished bid packages with required documentation.
  • Coordinate data collection with internal and external stakeholders (teaming partners).
  • Develop accurate proposal content aligned with RFP requirements.
  • Collaborate with departments and SMEs; edit and format proposal documents.
  • Draft and update personnel resumes; maintain bid records and databases.
  • Support senior staff in complex proposal development; work with estimators on bid strategies.

BBCH Support Services, LLC (BBCH-SS) is growing! We are looking for a motivated proposal specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and teaming skills. This role is for someone looking to develop the skills and gain the knowledge for growing their career in proposal management, with opportunity that can lead to career advancement over time. The proposal specialist will collaborate with team members across various departments and learn to manage complex proposals under the guidance of senior staff.

This is a REMOTE position.
Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000/annual
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Leading the full bid lifecycle for assigned projects, from initial pre-qualification through to contract award
  • Leading efforts for non-complex federal and commercial proposal development
  • Compiling and submitting polished bid packages, incorporating all necessary documentation
  • Coordinate with internal and external (e.g., teaming partner) stakeholders for data collection (i.e., data calls) and the preparation of proposal sections
  • Developing accurate and complete proposal content with strict adherence to RFP requirements
  • Collaborating and coordinating with other BBCH departments and subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Writing, editing, and formatting proposal documents
  • Drafting and updating personnel resumes
  • Data entry and updating/maintaining company repositories and resources, maintaining meticulous records and databases of bid activities to ensure accuracy and easy retrieval
  • Assisting senior staff with complex proposal development
  • Collaborating closely with estimators to gather intelligence and refine bid strategies.
  • Seeking and tracking bidding opportunities in various advertising platforms
Minimum Qualifications

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related course of study
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing bids, writing proposals, grants, technical writing or similar marketing-related documents with strict requirements and deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of public, private, and federal bidding processes, including pre-qualification requirements and compliance standards.
  • Minimum 2 year of RFP and/or RFQ experience in one or more of the following industries: construction, civil construction, structural restoration and/or environmental
  • Experience with Monday.com, Responsive, or other proposal management/content management software is a plus.

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.

Working Conditions

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
