Job summary

Intellisense Systems, Inc. is seeking a Research Scientist to lead technical proposal development for SBIR, BAA, and other government-funded opportunities in Southern California.

You will translate deep electro-optical concepts into fundable proposals and work with scientists and engineers to shape approaches into winning submissions. Onsite in Torrance, CA with duties that may include hands-on prototyping.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field preferred or Master’s with strong, proven grants writing record.
• Track record writing successful SBIR/BAA proposals or similar government-funded programs.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, winning proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of technical volumes for SBIR, BAA, and other government proposals.
• Capture technical content from scientists and engineers and translate it into persuasive narratives.
• Ensure compliance with solicitation instructions and coordinate with contracts/PM on cost data and data rights.
• Contribute to new concept designs and modeling for sensing and processing components.
• Track solicitation calendars and identify opportunities aligned with company capabilities.
• Translate proposal approaches into program execution plans after award.
