Job summary

Det-Tronics is seeking a Proposal Engineer (Product & Technical Services) to lead the development of high-quality proposals for complex industrial fire and gas detection projects. You will bridge engineering, sales, and customer solutions to translate requirements into compelling, compliant proposals.

In this highly visible role you will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Legal to align on scope and pricing while ensuring technical feasibility and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in proposal engineering, application engineering, or technical sales support.
• Experience with industrial fire, gas, automation, or related systems is preferred.
• Ability to develop technically sound, commercially competitive proposals.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret RFQs, specifications, and requirements.
• Develop detailed, accurate, and competitive proposals.
• Build cost estimates, pricing models, and scope definitions for engineered solutions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical accuracy and timely delivery.
