Menasha Corporation is seeking a CAD Drafter to analyze blueprints and specifications and prepare detailed drawings for ORBIS. You will produce volume and weight estimates to support quotation accuracy and profitability.
Using CAD software, you will develop data packages for the Proposal and Advanced Engineering Manager, ensuring completeness to help engineers and sales teams deliver competitive, high-quality quotations.

Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare proposal drawings, sketches and working models. Responsible for producing detailed volume/weight estimates for products to be manufactured by ORBIS.
Performs all necessary engineering assessments in coordination with Proposal and Advanced Engineering Manager (insuring that sufficient data is provided) for others to develop accurate quotations from, that are within the scope of the companies ability and at the required level of profitability. Utilize computer aided drafting equipment in the development of the data required for others to correctly estimate costs. Also includes sufficient information to satisfy the customer’s inquiry and demonstrate the abilities of Creative Techniques, Inc. Regularly confers with the Proposal & Advanced Engineering Manager keeping same informed of all activity, seeking advice, direction and instruction as deemed necessary and appropriate. Performs miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as directed. Empowerment to take responsibility for the quality of work performed.

Minimum of High School Graduation Diploma, Technical School or equivalency preferably with a degree or certificate in Mechanical Drafting; and six months to one year practical experience using CAD; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
