A Day in the Life of a Proposal Coordinator

You independently manage the full proposal lifecycle and coordinate proposal assignments with technical staff and teaming partners. You use your graphic design skills and creativity to produce appealing layouts in InDesign and ensure that proposals are compliant and meet Toole Design’s standards. You perform copy editing and proofreading to ensure products are error-free. You develop interview presentations and marketing collateral.

Work Schedule for a Proposal Coordinator

This full-time position typically works a hybrid schedule, with at least two to three days a week in the office. We also provide employees with the opportunity and necessary equipment to work from home 2 days per week.

The Silver Spring office of Toole Design is our corporate headquarters. We are conveniently located just outside of Washington DC in downtown Silver Spring, close to regional trails and networks on on-street bike infrastructure two blocks from the Silver Spring Metrorail/MARC Station and bus depot. Our beautiful 8th floor suite offers stunning views of DC and surrounding Montgomery County. The office is easily accessed on foot, by bicycle, and via transit.

We are targeting a salary range of $68,000.00 to $75,000.00 for this position.

Requirements

Qualifications of a Proposal Coordinator:

• A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, English, journalism, or similar relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Over two years of hands-on experience in proposal preparation/coordination, layout design, writing and copy editing, and working with a team
• Advanced proficiency in InDesign and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Basic experience with Illustrator and Photoshop
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Exceptional organizational skills
• A collaborative approach to generating strategies and developing creative solutions
