Job summary

ADP is hiring a Proposal Consultant within its Commercial Operations Center of Excellence. Located in a flexible location (NJ or other allowed sites), you will develop high-quality proposal responses, leveraging our content database, and coordinating with Product, Operations and Sales to meet deadlines.

You will lead complex sales projects while building strong relationships with internal clients, ensuring accuracy and alignment with sales messaging and service capabilities.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years’ experience in technical, proposal or business writing.
• Prior experience supporting proposals or providing sales support.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial drafts of RFx (RFP, RFI, RFQ, etc.) responses using the designated software (Responsive).
• Take project management approach to each unique response, to track changes and delays, and ensure all stakeholders are involved throughout the process.
• Manage version control, generating additional or revised drafts of RFx responses by merging information delivered by Product, Operations and Sales.
• Develop customized executive summaries and cover letters to align with sales messaging.
• Provide final edit by reviewing completed document to ensure consistency and accuracy in tone/voice of response.
• Develop/maintain good working knowledge of current service capabilities and future direction.
• Form effective business relationships with a variety of internal clients.

LOCATION – FLEXIBLE (NJ, Allentown, Orlando, Louisville)

ADP is hiring a Proposal Consultant within its Commercial Operations Center of Excellence. This role will provide support to sales and internal team partners to develop high-quality proposal responses that are responsive, accurate, concise and strategic. They will leverage our content database to complete proposal responses supporting multiple business units while ensuring all deadlines are met. They will lead complex sales projects while soliciting input and forming effective business relationships with a variety of internal clients while leveraging established best practices. We are in search of team members who are eager to grow, intellectually curious, can work on multiple projects simultaneously and have a true growth mindset.

Qualifications Required

• A college degree is nice to have but is not required. What is more important is having the skills to do the job. Other forms of acceptable experience include:
• Four (4) years’ experience in technical, proposal or business writing.
• Prior experience supporting proposals or providing sales support

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Understand and document moderately complex technical material.
• Demonstrate strong writing skills (clean, concise, accurate text).
• Balance two critical aspects of developing user information: thorough product understanding and technical expertise versus audience information needs.
• Able to focus content to the appropriate audience.
• Can manage multiple projects and delivery mediums.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Learn to use tools for project work.
• Estimate time/impacts of project tasks or changes.
• Flexible and creative.
• Ability to collaborate with others to obtain information to meet project deliverables.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

The compensation for this role is USD $55,500.00 - USD $103,700.00 / Year*

• Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state and local laws.
