Description

Summary:

Responsible for supporting the company's established business development and marketing strategies and to initiate, facilitate, compile, write, and edit proposal responses for federal and state agencies through the development of proposals, statements of qualifications, client presentations, and marketing communications and collateral.

This position may sit in our Anchorage, AK or Renton, WA office location. This position may qualify for a telecommute opportunity.

The salary range for this position is $115,864-$169,606/year. Please note this is a tiered position. Plus a competitive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401K 3% match and tuition reimbursement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage proposals (RFP, RFI) and all deliverables, including schedules, work package assignments, content coordination, timely submissions, final editing, formatting, and assembly.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough RFP compliance matrix throughout the proposal lifecycle.
  • Drive proposal efforts from go/no-go decisions to submission follow-up and debriefing.
  • Participate in pre-marketing activities, including intelligence gathering, competitor analysis, and defining solutions and discriminators.
  • Assist in team discussions, partner selection, and strategic planning.
  • Design marketing collateral such as proposals, organizational charts, resumes, project descriptions, and presentations.
  • Establish and enforce writing deadlines and assignments.
  • Ensure proposal messages and themes are consistent and compliant with solicitations.
  • Oversee final production and submission processes.
  • Coordinate proposal debriefs and reviews for quality and compliance.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, industry trends, and competition.
  • Manage proposal and project data within CRM systems.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

All levels:

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable discipline (work experience may substitute on a 1:1 basis).
  • Federal proposal writing experience.
  • Experience leading diverse teams across organizational levels.
  • Experience collaborating with operations, business development, and pricing teams.
  • Knowledge of federal procurement processes and FAR regulations.
  • Experience with federal RFP structures and SF330 formats.
  • Ability to coordinate proposal resources and schedules.
  • Proficiency in editing and integrating data and graphics into proposals.
  • Ability to pass federal background checks and be a US Citizen.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.

Level - II:

  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years as Proposal Manager.

Level - Senior:

  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience, including at least 8 years as Proposal Manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • APMP Foundation Level or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with U.S. federal civilian agencies, DOD, DHS.
  • Experience in construction, environmental, engineering, or professional services industries.
  • Knowledge of Alaska Native cultures.

Working Environment:

Indoor office with potential outdoor site conditions. Fast-paced, noisy, and high workload environment.

Prolonged sitting, manual dexterity, communication, and occasional physical lifting. Work performed primarily in an office setting with computer use.

Monday - Friday, hours based on operational needs.
