Job Summary

The Proposal Analyst is responsible for leading a deadline-driven proposal process, which includes gathering and organizing information in response to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Executive Summaries for prospective and renewal clients. The Proposal Analyst will ensure all responses are current, well-written, and accurately reflect key messages, products, and services. The position manages all aspects of the proposal process from receipt to completion and collaborates with various levels of management and subject matter experts (SMEs) within the company, including Region Presidents, Sales Executives, Client Managers, Underwriters, Sales Support, Operations, Legal, Managed Care teams, etc. Responsible for providing exceptional customer service, including responding with RFP information that is complete, accurate, and timely.

  • Manage the proposal process from initial kick-off meetings through completion, serving as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple RFPs/RFIs of varying complexity, assisting with large, complex proposals as needed.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs across multiple lines of business, including In-Market ADM, Tribal, Out of Market, and Hospital/Health System/Direct to Employer.
  • Create responses to RFPs/RFIs using proposal management software, coordinating with SMEs and team members to ensure timely and comprehensive responses.
  • Ensure responses are clear, concise, complete, accurate, and well-written; gather appropriate exhibits to support responses.
  • Send updated responses to the Content Manager for addition to the proposal database.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with RFP team members, Sales Executives, Region Presidents, and SMEs.
  • Maintain knowledge of existing and new products, services, networks, vendors, and partners.
  • Support team members and internal stakeholders as needed, including training and task/projects.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or English, with 3 years of experience working with RFPs/proposals.
  • Or, in lieu of a degree, 7 years of related experience.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple RFPs/RFIs simultaneously without compromising quality.
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills for working with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • File management skills using Microsoft Windows Explorer.
  • Minimal travel required (e.g., annual sales summit and others).

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Experience in insurance or third-party benefit administration environment.
  • Project and/or process management experience.
  • Experience with RFP/proposal software like Qvidian or Responsive.
  • Salesforce experience.

Note: This position is remote; candidates must reside in any US state except AK, CA, HI, and NY.

Salary Range: $56,700.00 - $106,400.00
