Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree and at least 10 years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Indirect tax and successful project management experience.
• Ability to articulate complex tax concepts to a variety of audiences and at all levels of organization.
• Forward looking, with a holistic approach and a track record of innovation and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation, review, and filing of property tax returns and related documentation for the company’s regulated utility assets.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment of taxes, including reconciliation of tax bills and assessments.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and rate cases and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Coordinate and manage audits, appeals, and negotiations with taxing authorities.
• Support regulatory filings and rate cases with property tax data, analysis, and testimony as needed.
• Develop strategies for minimizing tax liabilities while ensuring compliance.
