Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is partnering with a large, highly respected local employer in Minneapolis, MN to add a Property Tax Lead to its tax organization. This role focuses on property tax with some sales/use tax support and offers the opportunity to work on complex tax matters within a large asset-intensive company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant property tax and/or sales/use tax experience.
• Experience with tax audits and interacting with taxing authorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support property tax compliance and reporting activities.
• Research and interpret property tax laws, regulations, and requirements.
• Analyze property tax assessments and identify potential issues or opportunities.
• Support property tax audits, appeals, and interactions with taxing authorities.
• Prepare and/or review property tax calculations, accruals, and related financial information.
• Partner with internal finance, accounting, operations, and other business teams on property tax matters.
• Provide technical guidance regarding property tax requirements and their application to the business.
• Support sales and use tax matters as needed.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and help implement necessary changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, reporting, systems, and compliance.
• Provide guidance and day-to-day leadership to tax analysts and other team members.
