Job summary

Martin Marietta seeks a Property Tax Lead Analyst to own compliance and strategic planning for a select portfolio of complex properties at our Raleigh corporate office. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive real estate and business personal property tax compliance experience in a mining and/or manufacturing industry.
• Experience handling multistate property tax appeals, including Texas.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience using JDE, BlackLine, and PTMS.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines while working independently and collaboratively.
• CMI or CPA preferred; not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-state real estate and business personal property tax compliance for a select portfolio of complex properties, ensuring adherence to local and state regulations and filing deadlines.
• Identify, research and pursue property tax savings opportunities.
• Independently manage the valuation appeal process for complex jurisdictions.
• Manage monthly property tax accruals, forecasts, and true-ups using JDE and BlackLine for a portfolio.
• Analyze property tax data using Excel and PTMS to prepare reports on liabilities and savings opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and taxing jurisdictions to support tax strategies.
• Adhere to Company and SOX compliance, policies, and procedures.
