Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Property Services team member for the Forum at Lincoln Heights in San Antonio, TX. You will guard and protect community assets, perform security inspections, and respond to incidents to maintain residents' safety and well-being.

The role covers a full-time schedule with varied shifts (6a-2p, 2p-10p, 10p-6a) and pays $13–$15 per hour depending on experience. Join a growing senior living community that values safety, service, and resident care.

Responsibilities

• Promote and guard the community property and assets against fire, theft, vandalism and unauthorized entry while meeting service standards.

• Patrol property to prevent violations of safety codes.
• Report irregularities such as fire hazards and unsecured doors.
• Investigate incidents and file incident reports as appropriate.
• Respond to security calls and handle emergencies until relieved by a supervisor.

As a property service team member, you’ll play an essential role in enriching the lives of seniors, creating meaningful connections, and making a difference every single day.

Your Role

As a member of the property services team, you will be responsible for promoting and guarding the community property and assets against fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry by unauthorized persons while meeting and/or exceeding service standards.

Position Highlights

• Status: FULL TIME
• Schedule: One of the following schedules might apply 6a-2p/2p-10p/10p-6a Sunday-Saturday including holidays
• Location: 311 W Nottingham Dr; San Antonio, TX 78209
• Rate of Pay: Depending on experience $13-$15

What You’ll Do

• Conducts safety and security inspections of all community property to include common areas, resident corridors, parking areas and perimeter access of a large community campus.
• Examines doors, windows and gates to ensure that they are secure.
• Patrols community property to prevent and discover activity in violation of criminal, fire or safety codes.
• Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes and security doors left unsecured.
• Investigates and reports all acts of unlawful or safety hazards that would endanger persons or property.
• Investigates all incidents and suspicious occurrences, filing incident report appropriately.
• Responds to all security calls and complaints, taking necessary action and handling on-scene emergency situations until relieved by a Supervisor.
• Secures and unlocks areas and buildings in accordance with policy and community expectation.
• Assist in emergency response procedures as per community policy.
• Ensures outside furniture or fixtures are secure in the event of inclement weather.
• May be required to drive the community vehicle if necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
