Job Description

Are you experienced in commercial Property Management and looking to work with a portfolio of Class A Office buildings? Do you seek a position with some flexibility and a hybrid work environment? If so, this could be the opportunity you've been searching for. A Bay Area specialty property management and development firm is seeking a professional Property Manager for a Class A Office portfolio, managing a mix of office buildings within the Oakland area. The ideal candidate is passionate about tenant engagement and possesses strong financial knowledge. This position will oversee an APM and PA level team members. Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Communicate with potential tenants
  2. Oversee lease administration and interpret terms to tenants as needed
  3. Maintain tenant and vendor relations
  4. Review vendor contracts and go out to bid for services, negotiate terms, and select vendors
  5. Mentor and develop employees
  6. Communicate with tenants regarding work order requests and facility issues
  7. Prepare and analyze financial reports for the property
  8. Guide staff on receivables and payables
  9. Oversee CapEx and TI projects, including contractor selection, managing timelines, ensuring code compliance, and coordinating construction activities
  10. Follow up with tenants on various requests
  11. Prepare CAM reconciliations
  12. Develop budgets and variance reports
  13. Review financials and present findings to ownership
  14. Suggest improvements or changes to ownership
  15. Communicate with prospective tenants about available space
  16. Coordinate property events with the administrator
  17. Participate in green projects and initiatives

Qualifications and Skills

  • BA or BS degree
  • 5+ years of experience as a Property Manager in commercial real estate
  • CA RE license preferred
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
