Related Companies is seeking a Property Manager for Riverwalk Park on Roosevelt Island, NYC. Lead day-to-day operations, supervise staff, maintain high service standards, and manage tenant relations.

This role requires 3–5 years in property management, including affordable housing programs; strong MS Office and Yardi skills; and a track record of ensuring compliance and safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in property management including affordable housing programs (Section 8, LIHTC).
  • Previous supervisory experience managing office and maintenance staff.
  • Knowledge and experience with annual certifications.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Yardi software.
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group setting; multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with housing laws, especially affordable housing.

Responsibilities

Related is seeking a dynamic and experienced Property Manager to join our team at Riverwalk Park! Riverwalk Park is a premier residential property known for its upscale amenities, stunning architecture, and commitment to creating an exceptional living experience for its residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in property management. The position provides inspirational leadership, successfully promotes Company values, and creates an environment of exceptional customer service for residents, prospects, and vendors.

Location: Roosevelt Island (Queens)

Building Information:

Riverwalk Park is a 100 percent affordable, 21-story building in Roosevelt Island bringing 340 newly constructed apartments to New York City. Planned as an Enterprise Green Communities Certified building, Riverwalk Park is the first newly constructed affordable housing developed on Roosevelt Island. It is actually the eighth building developed by Related and Hudson in the Riverwalk neighborhood of Roosevelt Island: Riverwalk Park

Core Responsibilities:

  • Managing the overall day-to-day operations of the primary site as well as the oversight of regional sites
  • Supervising building managers and staff
  • Supervising day-to-day maintenance operations (safety, preventive maintenance, unit turnover)
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory agency building codes
  • Managing relationships and addressing any issues that may arise with outside vendors, architects, engineers, industry professionals, tenants and internal colleagues
  • Working with the staff to ensure all vacant units are up to code and ready for lease-ups and move-ins. Supervising/coordinating move ins and move outs
  • Coordinating maintenance projects needed to bring or keep property up to code
  • Conducting annual unit inspections to ensure compliance with program requirements
  • Conducting visual inspections for properties in the portfolio
  • Conducting arrears collection
  • Managing the annual certification/recertification process (ensure on-time collection and completion of documents)
  • Preparing and reviewing section 8 packages

Compensation:

$90,000 - $110,000/yr + Discretionary Bonus
