Job summary

Anchor Real Estate of Eastern North Carolina is hiring an experienced Property Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of approximately 150 single-family rental homes in Jacksonville and Onslow County. Qualifications

• Previous residential property management experience is required.
• Proficient in AppFolio property management software.
• Active North Carolina real estate broker license preferred; licensure will be considered in determining compensation.
• Proven ability to manage a residential portfolio, prioritize competing demands, and follow issues through to completion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to handle difficult owner and resident conversations professionally.
• High attention to detail with strong documentation, organization, and follow-up habits.
• Ability to work full-time, on-site in our Jacksonville, NC office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of approximately 150 single-family rental homes and oversee the day-to-day performance of each property.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for property owners and residents, providing timely, professional communication and clear next steps.
• Oversee maintenance requests from initial report through completion, including owner communication, vendor coordination, documentation, and follow-up.
• Manage inspections, lease renewals, rental-rate recommendations, lease compliance, move-ins, and move-outs.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely records in AppFolio, including communication, maintenance activity, inspections, and account notes.
• Identify and address issues affecting property condition, owner risk, resident satisfaction, or portfolio performance, and elevate high-risk matters when appropriate.
• Prioritize competing demands, handle difficult conversations professionally, and ensure commitments are followed through to completion.

Anchor Real Estate of Eastern North Carolina is hiring an experienced Property Manager to take ownership of an established portfolio of approximately 150 single-family rental homes in Jacksonville and Onslow County.

This is a hands‑on portfolio management role for someone who already knows residential property management and has professional experience using AppFolio. You will serve as the primary point of contact for your owners and residents, oversee the day-to‑day performance of your portfolio, and have the authority and responsibility to keep issues moving toward resolution.
