Harvard University is seeking a Business Applications Specialist in Harvard University Housing & Real Estate to support property management systems and drive process improvements across leasing, maintenance, and accounting. The role involves system integrations, data governance, report development, and user training while coordinating with vendors and campus teams.

A bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of experience in business applications is expected, with expertise in Yardi, MRI, RealPage

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting business applications, preferably in property management or real estate.
• Hands-on experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, RealPage OneSite, Entrata, AppFolio).
• Experience managing project tasks and deliverables within established project management frameworks.
• Experience with system integrations (APIs, middleware platforms).
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance practices.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles related to property management.
• Experience with reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Excel advanced functions).

Responsabilités

• Administer and support systems and applications used for daily property management operations, including upgrades and maintenance.
• Oversee application support and act as a level-2 contact for issues, troubleshooting, and escalation.
• Manage system configurations, user access, roles, and security settings.
• Analyze workflows across leasing, maintenance, accounting, and tenant services to identify efficiency gains.
• Partner with stakeholders to define business requirements, design processes and implement best practices.
• Oversee integrations between property management systems and third-party tools.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts for business insights.
• Lead small projects, document requirements, test solutions, and manage change control.
