Regular Schedule: 34 hours per week

Under general supervision, facilitates, coordinates and expedites the development, design, review, approval, and construction of County capital building projects and renovations. This is commercial construction of various levels including new buildings requiring design, bid and construction. Each Specialist must manage multiple projects concurrently.
Performs other related duties as required.
Possession of a high school diploma or an appropriate equivalent plus six years’ experience in sub-professional engineering, construction (preferably construction), construction inspection, or a closely related field.
(Additional qualifying education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of four years for the required experience.)
Possession of a valid driver's license equivalent to a noncommercial class C Maryland driver's license is required at the time of appointment.

The work of this classification is essentially sedentary, with occasional walking, standing, climbing ladders, and other limited physical activities. Duties include travel to various work sites.
