Job Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our multi-family communities in Leland, NC. The role involves routine repairs, community maintenance, and ensuring high resident satisfaction. The technician will handle warranty requests, repairs, inspections, and coordinate with subcontractors as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Assess resident repair issues and determine warrantability
  • Complete work orders, diagnose issues, and perform repairs following safety and code standards
  • Prepare vacant units for leasing through inspections and repairs
  • Perform minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC repairs, and painting
  • Manage subcontractors for warranty and turnover repairs
  • Ensure warranty work completion within contractor obligations
  • Follow up with residents to address concerns and enhance satisfaction
  • Monitor inventory and inform management for supply needs
  • Participate in training and quality inspections of units
  • Handle emergency calls after hours and weekends
  • Assist with move-in/move-out inspections and community grounds maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed
  • Communicate effectively with support teams and uphold professional standards
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years experience in maintenance, carpentry, drywall, or painting preferred
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, personal tools, and willingness to travel
  • Ability to work independently and utilize warranty applications on devices
  • Proficiency in communication via text and email
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform various physical tasks
  • Exposure to outdoor weather, mechanical parts, and potential hazards
Preferred
  • Experience as a Service Tech or groundskeeper in residential management
  • Skills in electrical, plumbing, HVAC repairs
  • Experience with community onboarding/disposition
  • EPA and CPO licenses are a plus
