Position Overview:

We are seeking a Leasing Consultant in the Operations Department who is passionate about helping people find and love their new homes. This customer-focused role involves problem-solving and delivering excellent service throughout the resident lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Engage with prospective and current residents to communicate the value and experience of living at a DHI Communities Build-To-Rent community.
  • Manage the application process efficiently.
  • Follow up with prospects and residents via email, phone, or notes to encourage lease signing or renewal.
  • Provide consistent service and support throughout the resident lifecycle.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to resident concerns, resolving issues or escalating as needed.
  • Manage lease expirations and secure renewals.
  • Assist with community marketing activities and resident events.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including Fair Housing, ADA, and OSHA.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain professionalism and ethical standards to serve customers and enhance company goodwill.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Six months to one year of related experience or training.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and sales skills, including lead generation, presentations, needs assessment, and closing.
  • Effective communication skills for legal documents, amenities, and resident questions.
  • Ability to follow instructions via written, oral, or digital means.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, CRM programs, MS Office, and internet usage for marketing and sales.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales, leasing, retail, or customer service is a plus.
