Position Overview:

We are seeking a Leasing Consultant-PM in our Operations Department. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping people find and love their new homes and excels in a customer-focused environment as a problem solver.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Interact with prospective and current residents to communicate the value and experience of living at a DHI Communities Build-To-Rent community
  • Manage the application process
  • Follow-up with prospective and future residents to convey our commitment to service through emails, thank-you notes, calls, and other contacts to finalize leasing or renewal decisions
  • Provide consistent service throughout the resident lifecycle
  • Respond promptly and courteously to resident concerns, taking action to resolve issues or escalate as needed
  • Manage lease expirations and secure renewals
  • Assist with community marketing activities and resident events
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, including Fair Housing, ADA, and OSHA
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Conduct all business ethically to serve customers and enhance company goodwill and profitability
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six months to one year of related experience or training
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills
  • Effective communication skills for legal documents, sales, and resident inquiries
  • Proficiency with computer systems, CRM programs, MS Office, and internet research tools
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in sales, leasing, retail, or customer service is a plus
