Job Description - Property Management - Leasing Consultant - Aurora (Ascend Horizon Uptown) (2501731)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Leasing Consultant-PM to join our Operations Department. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping people find and enjoy their new home, providing excellent customer service, and solving problems effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Engage with prospective and current residents, highlighting the value and experience of living at a DHI Communities Build-To-Rent community.
  2. Manage the application process efficiently.
  3. Follow up with prospects and residents through emails, thank-you notes, calls, and other contacts to encourage leasing and renewals.
  4. Provide consistent service throughout the resident's lifecycle.
  5. Respond promptly and courteously to resident inquiries and concerns, taking appropriate action or escalating issues as needed.
  6. Oversee lease expirations and facilitate renewals.
  7. Assist in community marketing activities and organize resident events.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including Fair Housing, ADA, and OSHA.
  9. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  10. Maintain professionalism and ethical standards in all business dealings to serve customers and enhance company reputation.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Six months to one year of related experience or training.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills, including lead generation, presentations, needs analysis, and closing.
  • Effective communication skills for understanding and explaining legal documents and amenities.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions, including using DRH applications.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, CRM programs, MS Office, and internet research tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, leasing, retail, or customer service is advantageous.

Salary range: $33,000 - $50,000, commensurate with experience. Overtime and bonuses are also available.
